1. Delivery quotation
Where delivery is quoted rather than charged, the website cart displays a product subtotal, not the final amount payable. After receiving a non-binding request, we will verify stock and send a written quotation stating the delivery address, fee, estimated dispatch or delivery period, product total, taxes and final total. No sale is concluded until you accept that quotation and we confirm acceptance.
2. Delivery areas and the delivery fee
We deliver only to addresses we expressly confirm. “Local delivery” means Paarl, Wellington and the immediately surrounding area identified in the final quotation.
- Paarl/Wellington local: a flat R20 per order, at any order value and any number of items. It is added to your cart before you submit an order request and appears on your order confirmation email.
- Elsewhere in South Africa: courier delivery, quoted in writing after we receive your request. The cost depends on the confirmed address, so your cart shows the product subtotal and states that delivery is still to be quoted.
- Free nationwide delivery: orders with a product subtotal of R500 or more qualify for free courier delivery anywhere in South Africa. The Paarl/Wellington local rate is unaffected by order value.
If a confirmed address falls outside the area we can service, we will tell you before a sale is concluded and you may accept the revised amount or withdraw. We will not add an undisclosed delivery charge after a sale is concluded.
3. Dispatch and delivery timing
The final quotation provides the estimated delivery period. Unless a different period is expressly agreed, we will execute an accepted electronic order within 30 days. Estimates may be affected by stock, public holidays, weather, road conditions or courier events, but we will communicate a material delay promptly.
A delivery is on time only if tendered at the agreed place and within the agreed period. We will not require you to accept delivery at an unreasonable time.
4. Address accuracy and access
You must check the address, recipient name and phone number before accepting the quotation. Tell us about a correction before dispatch. An address change may affect eligibility, cost and timing and requires a revised quotation.
Please disclose reasonable access instructions. We will never ask for a gate, banking or account password. A courier may contact the recipient to complete delivery.
5. Receiving and inspecting products
Products remain at our risk until you or a person you authorised accepts delivery, subject to applicable law. At delivery, check the parcel for visible damage, correct items and intact seals. Record visible damage and notify us as soon as reasonably possible.
After acceptance, follow the label’s storage instructions immediately. Prompt notice helps protect food safety, but a delay does not automatically remove a statutory right.
6. Delays, unavailable products and cancellation
If we cannot supply an accepted order because products are unavailable, we will notify you immediately. We will not substitute a product without your express agreement. If an order is not executed within the agreed period, you may use the cancellation rights provided by applicable law, including the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act.
Any payment requiring refund because we cannot perform will be refunded within the applicable legal period.
7. Failed delivery
If delivery fails because no authorised recipient is available or because material access information was omitted, we will contact you before arranging another attempt. Any additional fee must be reasonable and disclosed for your acceptance first. No re-delivery fee is charged where failure was caused by us or our courier.
